This was a tricky week for me. As the brief was so broad and I wasn’t sure on what direction I wanted to take. I had the idea of creating a children’s story book using illustrations in last weeks projects. After picking out 13 new objects, I started there. I looked at children’s book illustrator and writer Lauren Child, who created the iconic ‘Charlie and Lola’ books and series. However once I started to create these illustrations I couldn’t figure out how I could turn them into unique pieces of work and not just another version of Child’s illustrations. So I then looked further into my research on photomontage and found this illustrator called Eleanor Woods, which is where I came up with this cloud like concept using the textured photos from last weeks outcomes.
